Spring Has Sprung... Finally!!

Spring is finally here!  We are a week away from Memorial Day.  It is finally getting warm outside and we have leaves on trees and flowers growing.  I love that!  We have been busy enjoying the weather as much a possible.  Brina and Kai love to go outside and do things. 

Easter came and it was almost 85 degrees that day!  It was gorgeous.  I made a ham dinner for everyone and we munched on it.  While I was cooking, Brad, Mimi, Pop and Brina decided to go over to Greenbriar so I could get everything done in the kitchen.  While there, Brina tripped and fell onto the corner of a trunk.  She ended up splitting her lip open pretty good.  I finally got a good look at it and we went to the ER at Mercy St. Louis at about 9pm.  She got one stitch in her lip.  She didn't even cry!  The nurse and the doctor were cracking up because once they were done she said "Thank you!  Where's my poppy (Popsicle)."  They thought she was so funny.

In April, we went to the lake the weekend of the 12 - 14.  The weather was so nice!  We enjoyed the sunshine and got the lake house all cleared of leaves.  We even got to go for a boat ride.  It was Kai's first boat ride.  I think he liked it a lot.

 Sabrina is growing so much.  She is speaking in full sentences and continues to make us giggle all the time.  I cannot believe that she is already done with a full year of preschool.  She was in the two's class at Lafayette Christian Preschool.  Her teachers name is Ms. Michelle and Ms. Wilka.  We just fell in love with her preschool.  She got a report card at the end of the year and she is doing wonderfully!  She learned how to glue and paint and cut with scissors.  She is all ready for next year in the three's class.  She is weighing in at 34lbs and is 37 inches tall.  She is getting so big.  The weekend of the 20th in April, we went to Memphis to see the ballet.  The Wizard of Oz was playing.  We loved it!  It was also Kai's first ballet too!  He did awesomely.  We also got to celebrate Sabrina's birthday with her cousins, Madeline, Eli and Susanna.  She loves going to Memphis to see them.  Aunt Bridgette made her this amazing Snow White cake.  It was so awesome.  I wish I had that kind of talent!!

 On the Thursday after the Memphis trip, we celebrated Sabrina's Third Birthday.  It was awesome.  She was so excited for her birthday.  If you asked Sabrina when her birthday is, she would say "It's on Monday!"  We celebrated with cake and some Skype time with Na Na and Grandpapa.  It was so nice to have a low key birthday at home.  We enjoyed it very much.

We had some really nice days this spring mixed with some really cold days!  We took advantage of those nice days!  Kai and daddy love to go for walks and Sabrina and I love to go out in the circle and ride her bike.

On Mothers Day we got Diamond Box tickets 6 rows from the Visitor's Dugout.  It was awesome!  Kai came and we had a blast watching the Cardinal's play.  They lost the game, but we had a blast!  Sabrina loved seeing Fred Bird.  She kept calling him a chicken though.  It was so darn cute.  Then on Friday we had the work baseball game in the Bank of America box.

This past weekend we got Sabrina and Kai a wading pool.  It was Kai's first time in the water and he loved it!  The kids had a great time in the pool together.  It got up to 91 so it was a great day for some swimming!

Tomorrow we are going to go to the Zoo!  It's been a little while since we have gone to the Zoo.  I can't wait to see what Sabrina thinks of everything.  We also have not seen the new Sea Lion Sound.  That should be fun.  Then we are headed down to the lake for the annual Memorial Day weekend kick off.  One of my favorite things!
